As we have seen, the devastation is great and is growing. The communities effected will need incredible resources to recover. Because of the widespread devastation already seen, the needs of those impacted will far exceed existing resources. Many have asked how we can Make a Difference. As you may or may not know, District 6250 has a Charitable Trust. This is a foundation that will allow you to make a tax deductible contribution that will be sent to the Rotary District(s) heading the relief efforts in Texas and effected areas. 100% of your contribution will go to those that truly need it.

In an effort to streamline meeting set up and eliminate last-minute issues with technology, please email a copy of the guest's presentation to Spencer Niebur prior to the meeting. Randy will load the presentation on his laptop so the guest speaker doesn't have to worry about technology the day of the meeting. Guests can bring their own laptop if they insist but we prefer to have the presentations in advance. Thank you.

When Pat Stephens came to La Crosse in 1966, he didn’t know anyone. Now, he says he has made thousands of friends as an ambassador of the community.
A University of Wisconsin-La Crosse alumnus and a founding member of the university’s Sigma Delta Phi fraternity, Stephens was recently awarded the organization’s highest honor, the Mr. Delta Sig Award. The ceremony was held at the fraternity’s national conference, held earlier this month, and recognized Stephens’ more than 30 years of dedication to Delta Sigma Phi.
Stephens, who was at the national convention in Baltimore to visit a friend, said the honor was a total surprise when it was announced. He said his wife knew he was given the award and his two daughters flew in to surprise him with hugs at the announcement.
He has served on the fraternity’s Grand Council for four years and was noted for his enthusiasm, positivity and ability to bring people together to solve problems. He was a chapter adviser for 30 years at UW-L, where he guided the chapter and its men in its mission to promote community service.
